Picking Petals

Picking Petals

A Poem by Broken.

These stings
whispers of tearing flesh
I cry for one
who doesn't arrive
Tears fill my eyes and
leak out sacred places

Curious eyes
lay down with the demons
The demons that howl
They howl at my soul
The red curtain rises
The show begins again

Obnoxious grins
filled with terror
They are but puppets
Who yearn for my trust
I watch, wide-eyed
as these creatures
fall to their knees
to this so called

Life.
