Trip Dreaming

Trip Dreaming

A Poem by Broken.

As I remember,
it was a Wednesday.

An ordinary Wednesday
some would inquire
It was a Wednesday,
a Wednesday prior
A surprising Wednesday
were our spirit's did not tire
It was a Wednesday
when we swam in the clouds
a fathomable Wednesday
where there were no crowds
It was a Wednesday
when we first tasted the air

a remarkable Wednesday
that we found something rare
It was a Wednesday
when we discovered the trippin chair
And on that particular Wednesday
you could say we were high,
but it was a Wednesday
that we made a tin foil swan fly
That night on Wednesday
out the window in July
and it was still our Wednesday
we couldn't say bye
Although in the sunlight of Wednesday
we were baked like lobsters
but that special guest at 4am,
would not leave, until we joined Mobsters

And I will never forget that Wednesday,
not in any part in time
because on that Wednesday
I wrote my first poem that rhymed :)

I like it...the "trippin' chair" made me laugh, and I liked the lines

And on that particular Wednesday
you could say we were high,
but it was a Wednesday
that we made a tin foil swan fly

Very unique poem. I like the idea of tasting the air. Sometimes it almost seems you can, but I'd never thought of it that way before. Eye opener! Great poem, thanks for sharing it.

Awesome poem. I rarely do it myself, but sometimes writing rhyming poetry is a challenge which allows one's thinking to go in directions it normally wouldn't. Was this really your first shot at it, and did you find that to be true? Very entertaining read. =)
