Swallow

Swallow

A Poem by Broken.
"

The moonlight glistens..

"

I can't bare the pale moonlight anymore
And all the flutes along the shore
The shining sun holding its gaze
And I can't fall anymore

All the paint has washed away
Leaving only the storyless bench
The breeze blowing you farther
I am lost in the tide

You shouldn't have been there
With all your shining glory
I could've played dead
But my heart kept soaring

You didn't hear me
I repeated
You weren't there
Said he

The weeping willow comforts near
And but only one sharp tear
I turn in my wings
Although you can still fly

Leaning against the door to my escape
Tainted river
Walking trees
Crippling babies

And me standing on the moon
With nothing but...

Pale moonlight.

Strangely erotic and mesmerizing, can't help the feeling that I've fallen into some kind of spell on this one...Excellent and complex imagery. Like wanting to be wanted.

The metaphors are so

wonderfully wound

around your longing,

wordings are very catchy,

well this, was so excellently penned!

Great job...love your writing in this piece!

This is so pretty! o= I love how your description of nature reflects your mood (and contrasts it, in some instances) That's very unique. My favorite stanzas were the first three - I could just read them over & over again. (: And I liked the ocassional rhyme too, it worked well & didn't sound forced anywhere. Great job with this!
