Just A Girl

Sometimes I just need a little boost in my confidence.

People stop,

and stare and whisper.

I can hear their voices, 

behind me murmur.

How ugly, she says.

She runs like a turtle.

Aren't you normal?

But guess what?

I'm just a girl.

And no matter what they say, 

And no matter what they do.

I will dream.

I will have that first crush.

And I will laugh,

And I will play.

And if you think

That I'm not cool.

I won't care, because,

I am me.

And I am unique.

I'm Just A Girl.

The usual, criticism is welcomed. Ignore the grammar. I am an amateur writer, just getting my thoughts out.

brittany, yet again, this poem is just absolutely wonderful. Very relatable this is something nearly everybody has to go through and its nice for others to hear that they are not the onlu ones out there. exceptional feeling. I have a friend who is very close to me, practically a sister, who maybe, should read this on over a few times. exceptional, unique, and as for the literacy poryion of it, always your a very good writer, the only thing i noticed was the syllables, kind of made the beat a tad uneven, but who am i to judge. maybe you were going for that effect

And that you did, do not be discouraged by that, a lot of times i will look at poems in my notebook or something and notice these tiny little details and i sort of got OCD about that stuff
