(for) The BirdsA Poem by BrittanyMay 24, 2009
One-by-one
Struggle those EyEs open face swallow and swallowing, gritty amber imposter light fixtures with a wax-seal apathy towards another Sunday's Eve
Two-by-two
Thoughts rattle, jingle-jangle loose foreign coins deep in disturbed pockets of a mind hosted/ wasted with dead kitten sympathy for those less inclined
Three-by-three
Ribbons all tainted, spiral out and burn away a cig-a-rette drag on and with post-modern frustration, as moral-code decays around sealed-wax lips
Four-by-four
clik-clik-clik-clik sounds of keys protesting, against tips of fingers busy in haste baking the mind-pie ala Mode served warm for the right ones to choke on
Five-by-five
A product mantra of two-plus-two, suggests safety in a struggling-amber grit light where burning drags swallow all frustration, sympathy, and apathy
