A Chapter by Brittany

(I should buy a paisley shirt.

So I can blend into the walls.

I would rather be heard, not seen.)

She was loosing her white blood-cells.

So she drank boxed wine. Franzia. The red kind.

It put a sparkle in her eye.

I came up with some good hemoglobin jokes.

Then decided it best not to share them with her.

She told me stories she had already told me before.

Along with stories I never wished to hear.

So I told her how I felt.

And hoped she would remember come morning.

how is this delicate, yet visceral, yet filled with this intense melancholic ache all at once?

a person could die from so many things felt at once, you know..

I want to kiss you too after this one.

Okay .It's official. Yes, I do want to kiss you. Anyone that puts hemoglobin in a story is a genius and I miss your laughter. Brilliant piece, dear. Remember when you were embarrassed about your writing and would barely show me? I still have that piece written down in a book. You've always been talented and it's pieces like this that prove that even more.
