Bandoneón

Bandoneón

A Poem by Brittany

On soft in the background

Piano keys like a tweaked Dali ‘stache

I’m thinking of past exchanges

Currency from the dash and center console (were)

Silver pebbles we threw in the well

Best wishes for our habits

its a masterpiece in brevity!!! musical, of course, but so layered and so deep that it reveals unexpected shades in just a few lines. its a memory that has been stirred from its slumber, perhaps. a quivering glow of moments that have been strewn in gold and silver, on hindsight, on the mundane fabric of wishes and wishing wells. it caresses some dark corners and "past exchanges" that have led, perhaps, to a willing dependence on "habits". to have expressed such a myriad range of themes - music, art, the mundane and the extraordinary - with such brevity - shows exceptional poetic talent!

This does say much and is beautiful.

The subtlety here is beautiful. I always toast to my vices.

I see you like your piano music long on the hair. I love short poems that say and imply much.
