Writing #2A Poem by Brittany Corcoran
One
day you’ll lift your head only to learn
you’re the only one left standing there only if someone had simply stood beside you told you it was going to be okay made you feel a little less unwelcome in this terrible place maybe then your head wouldn’t again fall to the dirt covered ground with silent sadness on your fragile face now you stand alone with a dreadful grey cloud over your skull and let me tell you now it’s hard to lift your head when its heavy with the weight of everything kept inside © 2013 Brittany CorcoranAuthor's Note
