Daring to be Me.

I'm tired of being judged for being different. I'm tired of being left behind because i changed how i act. I'm tired of being judged because i am no longer afraid to be ME. Let me know what you think

Don't Judge me for who I am, or for who I want to be.

Don't judge me for the choices I make, and for want I don’t want to see.

Yes I am different from you all, but at least I am not a lie.

Yes I have a different view, but for that should I die?

 

Don't judge me for what I see, or for the things I choose not to say.

Don't judge me for what I do, and for the path I take today.

You act as though I am foreign, as though you do not know me.

You act as though you’re happy, though that is far from what you’ll ever be.

 

Don't judge me for the decision I made, or for the life that I now lead.

Don't judge me for the change in me, and that you're no longer all I need.

I know that what happened, hurt us both inside.

I know that how I left, also made me come from behind.

 

So don't judge me for who I've become, or for what I am still to be.

Don't judge me for the life I have, or that I am finally ME.

Yes the life I have now chosen, is not what you call "fun".

Yes the path I took is harder, but at least I don’t have to run.

 

I am finally what I have always wished to be. So don’t you dare judge me for Daring to be ME.
