The faintest notion tips,
trips,
tumbles.
Tangles of words,
incoherent mumbles.
I devour each syllable,
words short and clipped.
I Seize their meaning
by the wrists,
“Do speak again sweet predator,”
I insist.
Every breath a burning flame,
swallowed whole
within your gunfire gaze.
Appraisingly,
lazily,
your eyes glaze.
Beholding me once, up and down.
Surrender I must,
suddenly stricken and spellbound.
Beneath your blistering stare,
I am eager to abandon
each and every care.
Your lips then loosen,
murmuring my name.
I watch the shape they make
rendering me as always
ever-eager
prey.
With each implication claimed
I am utterly enamored,
with every word
you dare
say.
