Mischief in the EyeA Chapter by Britt NicolePlanning
Bright spots appeared across her vision as she came to her senses. Her eyes were still closed, but she could still feel the earth around her. The usually soft grass was now poking her back, and the air felt musty and old. Once she opened her eyes, she saw the world in a different view.
The ground was no longer green, but a grayish-blue color. The sky was red with black clouds. Trees now stood as tall lean figures, free of the green fingers that covered them. The man with the hat stood before her, and he too changed. The suit he was wearing was still black, and his hat was still tall. His face, though, that was different. It was tinted green and his eyes were large and black. He had a long, thin nose that pointed at her. His cheekbones nearly reached the sky, and his mouth was stretched in a smile. Long, bony fingers curled around a sceptor of sorts as he watched her. He was staring at her knowingly. "You look ravishing, my dear. Immortality suits you." He snickered. She gave him a confused look and hesitantly looked down. Her mouth let out a surprised yelp as she stared at her covered body. She was wearing a black... "Dress, my dear. It's a dress. The things on your feet are shoes." He helped. She nodded and looked at her dress. Before her, an object appeared. It flashed her reflection back to her. It appeared to be like frozen water that was clear and gave an unwavering image. She yelped again also, her appearance different from than what she's used to seeing in the water. Her hair was not black, but pale and white. Her black eyes now appeared red, and her smile was nerve-wracking. Her dress was short and, black, clinging to her body like it was another layer of skin. The shoes she was wearing made her wobble. They had thin sticks at the bottom, and she realizes she was almost towering over Satan. That's when she realized she wasn't outside on the Earth. She was in what she could only guess was Hell. Satan's black eyes danced as he watched her realization. "A beautiful place, quite remarkable." He said, sarcastically. She gave him a look of pleasure. "Actually, yes. Beautiful. We could make a home out of this place." She suddenly realized she was telling the truth. Her semi-innocent mind was now overrun with dark thoughts. She thought of sinful thoughts non-stop now. She eyed Satan with a lustful gaze, and she looked at herself in pride. Immortality must have changed her, but she felt it was in the better way. She felt amazing. Looking gorgeous and in the presence of a sexy man was totally winning her over. She could live forever. Could defy God in any way she wanted. There were no rules. She was free. "Shall we begin?" He asked, motioning for her to sit on a rock that just appeared. As she sat, her dress rode up a little, but Satan didn't care so she didn't bother with it. "Rule number one: obey me." so much for being free. "That's basically it. Obey me." She sighed, but nodded. This immortality thing was a package deal, she has to deal. "This is going to be fun, Lily." He stated, rubbing his hands together. "Lilith." She added. "Pardon?" "My name is Lilith. Lily is the one thing tying me to God, and J want to change. Understand? I'm Lilith." Satan smiled. "Well, hello, Lilith." A few years later, the earth was crawling with demons. Lilith was known as The Mother of All Demons, and she felt their pain. They were starving. The earth was barren. Adam and Eve were safely locked away in Eden, and there was nothing for Lilith's children to eat. They were slowly dying off. They were in his office in the palace they made together. Straight through the door right in front was the desk. It was scattered with paperd and ink was spilled everywhere. The chair was broken, the pieces strewn all over the floor from temper blowouts. The pictures on the wall were of angels and some of God's lovely glow. They all had darts stuck to each and every figure. Cursing everything that ruined Lucifer and make him become Satan. The room was painted in a green-blue tint, his favorite color. He had a broken harp in one corner of the room, it's gold pieces reflecting on the walls. In another was a book case full of historical novels. He had knowledge of the future, he saw things before they happened. Her knew that other humans would roam the earth, and that his demons would be free to eat whomever they pleased. He just couldn't figure out how to get it that way. They were standing across from each other. Satan on the inside side of the desk, and Lilith on the outside. A wicked smile formed on his lips as the idea slid it's way into his mind like a snake. He straightened his normal tux and loosened his tie as he told her his idea. She shook her head sternly, no. "That's impossible. You do realize that that's our problem, right? We can't find the Garden. How are we supposed to infiltrate it?" Satan chuckled at her ignorance. Her arms folded across her chest as she glared at him. "I wasn't talking about us actually going in." She waited for him to continue, but he just pecked at his cuticles. An annoyed groan escaped her lips as she slammed her hands on the desk. Satan slowly brought his head up to look at her. He drawled, "Yes?" "Continue!" "Patience. I have to let the plan formulate other outcomes before I say any more. Just be prepared." Satan announced. His eyes glistening in the pride he takes possession of. Lilith pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance, but nodded. She Shifted out the room, leaving Satan to his scattered papers and broken furniture. © 2014 Britt Nicole |
