Yin and Yang

Yin and Yang

A Poem by Britny_ Grady

Yin & Yang

-Yang-

I am the light, the smile

I make situations worthwhile

You hear me laugh and see me dance

Never do you give me a second glance

-Yin-

I am here when you look away

The one unsure of what to say

Awkward and insecure, yep, that's me

Never am I truly what you get to see

-Yang-

Call me up when you need a friend

I'll never disappoint you in the end

Forever do I try to be warm like a summer

Cheering up anyone who is being a 'bummer'

-Yin-

'Run away', escape these freaks

That's what my inner self seeks

People don't understand... all I want is to be alone

I sometimes would prefer to be made of stone

-Yin and Yang-

Yin and Yang, Dark and Light

The duality we all have to fight

Summer or winter, Masculine or Feminine

Which side do you reveal and which is within?

Britny_ Grady
Random poem idea I got while looking up something for a paper I'm doing on light and dark as shown within classic literature... was suppose to be about the parts of me but that got 'slightly' lost.

About
Hi. My name is, as I said, Britny Grady. I am a twenty-year-old who still lives with my mother while I go to college in the area (it's cheap/free). I have always had an overly vivid imagination and.. more..
