Standing Alone

Standing Alone

A Poem by Britny_ Grady

Standing Alone

Dancing Stars and Waxing Moons

Fading Light within the Monsoons

Lost my heart to the eternal night

Waiting within, so full of freight

Listen to the night, there is my cry

Crying for help, should I even try

Give me your hand and lift me out

Yet you refuse even when I shout

I fall to my knees so full of pain

Yet I feel it slowly begins to wane

Then I am left hollow and cold

With no one to help and to hold

For wasted time I cry alone

In a world of sand and stone

Hi. My name is, as I said, Britny Grady. I am a twenty-year-old who still lives with my mother while I go to college in the area (it's cheap/free). I have always had an overly vivid imagination and.. more..
