Wanderer

Wanderer

A Poem by Briscottin
"

A fresh, raw poem that is no where near perfect, but it perfectly describes how I feel about what is going on inside of my head. I'm lost in this world and in myself.

"

My mind wanders

It takes a path

Then another one

Constantly twisting and turning

With no end in sight

This journey has no life

It lacks excitement

It lacks inspiration

It lacks anything

My mind wanders

It gazes above

At the pitch black of nothingness

Is that all there is?

Where are the stars?

The moon?

The wisps of cloud that have lingered from day?

But there is no sky

It is a void

Keeping my mind trapped

On these never ending paths

My mind wanders

Maybe to give up

Let the void swallow it whole

Let my mind cease to exist

To forever walk and live

Without getting anywhere or living at all

Where is the end to this?

Maybe this prison is all there is

My mind wanders

With no hope.
