Chapter 22

Liz’s POV

 

I got out of the shower, and felt my legs wobble a bit, I guess I was tired or something. By the time I escaped this Hell I’d be sleeping way to much at a time, ugh.

 

I walked out of the bathroom with a towel securely wrapped around me, having forgotten my clothes in the closet, Mike was asleep on the bed, and Felipe was reading, but me having forgotten he was a vampire though if I was sneaky he wouldn’t hear me. He looked up and his curiosity changed to surprise, then lust. S**t.

 

I rushed into my closet threw on some shorts and a plain tank top, and walked back out embarrassed. Felipe was still watching me, and I felt self conscious as I pulled back the covers and slipped in. Sleep, blissful sleep.

 

 

Felipe’s POV

 

Dude, she is HOT, how are we supposed to keep her safe? Will the werewolves go after her friends and family? S**t how come Mike has not thought of this? Why did her dad leave her, why am I thinking so much? Time to turn my mind off, Liz walked out, and I found myself staring, quickly glancing away, but still watching in the corner of my eye as she pulled the covers back and slipped inside.

 

A few moments later I heard her breath slow into a soothing rhythm. I closed my book, turned off the unneeded light, and I myself fell asleep. Probably should have wondered who was left awake, but I didn’t.

 

 

Duanne’s POV

 

“Come on Tyler.” I said, “We have to get them before they wake up.”

 

“Man, I’m all for kidnapping Liz, but kidnapping her friends? Will she even care?”

 

“Don’t you know what happened when Reed and his a******s decided that making her school go into lock down?” I asked surprised he didn’t know.

 

“What?” Tyler asked.

 

“Liz protected her friend from Jace, and now we are going to kidnap, wait,” I flipped the notebook in my hands, “Clair and Andy her two best friends.”

 

“Oh okay,” Tyler is kind of slow…

 

“We’re at Andy’s house, come on.” I said getting out of the car.

 

“Do you want me to wait or do you want me to help?”

 

“Just wait here.”

 

“’Kay”

 

I walked up the path, read which window was his on my notebook, and climbed up the wall, me and my amazing climbing skills.

 

I slowly slid open the window, and saw him sleeping, why couldn’t Liz have only girl best friends, but Clair is a girl, too bad I’m not aloud to touch her.

 

I stepped off the window sill into Andy’s room, he was asleep, and I grabbed a cloth out of my pocket, I walked over to him and covered his mouth and nose, he was startled awake.

 

“Listen closely and you will not get hurt,” I whispered harshly, “we know who has Liz, and for her safety, and yours come with me, now.”

 

I felt him nod his head, and I dragged him out of his bed, I jumped out the window, and holding him landed lightly on my feet.

 

“That was fast,” I heard Tyler say.

 

“Yeah, tie him up, I’ll drive.”

 

I handed the now squirming Andy to Tyler, who tied him up quickly and shoved him in the back of our SUV; unluckily he forgot to put a gag on him.

 

“Where the f**k are you taking me?” Andy asked as I got into the driver’s seat.

 

Tyler being a dumbass answered, “Clair’s house then to Mike where Liz is.”

 

“Leave Clair alone you a******s,”

 

I hit the accelerator, we needed to get Clair and get back to Liz while the vamps are still probably sleeping.

 

“Don’t worry as soon as we get Clair, we’re going to Liz,” Tyler always one to egg people on.

 

“We’re here” I said pulling in to the empty lot across the street from Clair’s house.

 

“LEAVE HER ALONE!” Andy screeched.

 

Laughing I stepped out of the van.

 

I closed the door to Andy’s cries of protest, “Tyler if he doesn’t shut up, shut him up.”

 

“Got it,”

 

I sighed angrily, I again checked to see which window was hers, and ran, up the wall into her room. Clair looked like a porcelain doll, easily broken, hard to repair. I covered her mouth with my hand, and pulled her shaking figure out the window with me.

 

Next stop Liz, and baby, you will be mine.
