happy halloween

happy halloween

A Poem by Alyssa

Happy
Happy halloween
You’re dressed up
 in a little black dress
You’re pretending to be a cat
I would never have expected that
Happy halloween
You’re way too far gone to remember me
But I’m right here
Stop singing no one can hear you
I doubt even you do
You’re not as scary as halloween is meant to be
You’ve got good friends and bad habits tonight
It’s alright
That’s why do these things now
Not in the morning light
You held my hand
You wanted me to kiss it
I tried but I missed it
Sorry I do these things all the time
You held my hand
You wanted me to kiss it
I tried but I missed it
You laughed so loud all the strangers turned around
We’re annoying I can feel it
At least we’re not boring
Happy
Happy
Happy halloween to you and me
Will we still be here by Christmastime
maybe
