Harvest Walk

Harvest Walk

A Poem by Brighid an Lasair

Blazing, vibrant leaves
Fall gently from the trees-
Before us, behind us-
Carefully coating our chosen path,
The gleaming, golden rays,
Approaching from its low, western stance-
Blinding, fierce, and bold.
As we walk, side by side,
Caught happily
In this brief moment of time-
The churning sea echoes, bellows,
From beyond the clearing-
And the scents of the Harvest,
Come playfully on the breeze-
In this moment,
We're at ease--
For the first time in months-
There is a sense of peace
In our pace,
No rush to the end,
No race to complete,
Just you and I-
and our Harvest Walk,
under a blazing sky.

There are many elements of poetry at our disposal. Knowing which ones to utilize for the benefit of our poem can take time, patience and lots of revision.

After reading this, I can tell you that I felt it and saw the leaves. Any further revisions on your part are up to you.

Beautiful, your words chosen precisely from a literary palette to paint images of the returning autumn in my soul.
