Conversing with the Breeze.

Conversing with the Breeze.

A Poem by Brighid an Lasair
"

Older piece from about 2005.

"

From the highest rooftop gracing the skyline of Boston,

I gazed off into the depths of space-

Searching for something-

Finding nothing-

At the same time,

I didn't know what I was looking for-

This rooftop ledge had become safe-

It was my sanctuary-

The place where my feet could fly-

As I dangled them over the edge-

Of this peaceful sky scraper.

And from the streets came the breeze-

Running swiftly behind my knees-

Sending chills up my spine-

As I watch newspapers fly-

Up to greet me-

Among a whirlwind-

Of discarded city debris-

I take to my feet-

Allowing my knees to bid farewell-

To their beloved breeze-

Knowing there will be other nights-

Much like this-

Where they will converse-

And send chills up my spine again-

As I stare out into space.

So beautiful and peaceful. The imagery here is wonderful I can see the whole scene as it happens and that's really truly lovely. Its like spying a personal and peaceful moment meant for no one's eyes. This really calmed me.

This was my favorite part it made the city seem so peaceful and quite. And while the city can be a beautiful and peaceful place it is hardly ever quite. I also love how you take regular city litter and give it life and make it seem kinda beautiful.
Much love,
Tallulah

A truly chillig piece yet serene..easily
flowing like a stream down a mountain
