When will this end?

When will this end?

A Poem by Brig643

I've gone to great lengths.

Great lengths to disguise myself.

Hide my heart in an box,

but then you came.

You came, opened that box. and took my heart.

You played with it.

Toyed with it like a child.

Not bothering to look deeper into it,

only looking on the outside.

You bounced it like a ball.

Skipped rope with it.

Threw it up in the air.

Even poked it.

Now, I'm laying on the ground.

Lifeless and limp.

No one can understand,

because no one knows.

I'm never going to see you again.

You left.

I don't know if you wanted to or not,

but you did.

I wish you could see me now.

See how much torture and pain I'm in.

You're the only cure for this terminal disease.

The only piece for this puzzle.

You don't know how much I cared.

I know how much you didn't care.

I need you,

but you don't need me.

When will this end?

I'm sorry.

What happened to you does not sound fair and I wish it hadn't happened. Keep holding on. Your pain will end: though you may not see the light at the end of the tunnel, it is there.
