Somewhere

Somewhere

A Poem by Brielle Cartny

I need to get away
Somewhere, anywhere worthwhile
Be quiet GPS i don't care what you say

I've been terribly lonely without you
rumour is you miss me too
So i will drive the miles to get to you

So let's drive anywhere worthwhile
forget about the miles
just keep going and don't stop

We need to get away
and I'm not too shy to say
That it's best this way

Let's do ourselves a favour
Stay off the rough spots
and no speeding cause you know about the cops

Where we are going is far too nice
to be distracted by bright police lights
Anywhere we think of can be the place
Just as long as i can see your face

I'm not too shy to say
We need to get away
GPS what do you know anyway

Let's travel off the road
and see what's to see
cause the country has all the real beauty

So let's travel the world
and see what's to see
Till we find our dream hideaway

So there is no way I'm too shy to say
It is definitely best this way

Very lyrical!

I also think this would fall perfectly into lyrics, if you better arranged it to that aspect. Make sure to clearly define the chorus, and to make sure each part is sufficiently long enough. Great piece! I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Thanks i will work on that
Tis a song more than anything. I tried adding music to it, but i am not very skilled in that area.

About
I am heavily influenced by music all around me. There is hardly ever a piece I write that is not composed with a song that has been stuck in my head. Recently my favourites have been Haste the Day, .. more..
