A Ring

I wrote this the other morning after my boyfriend told me that he would prove that he loves me more than i love him by one day giving me a ring and he promised that he would love me forever.

I swear that

The world stopped

That morning

That one word

Those four letters

You said forever

You promised

So now I’m hoping

That it will be forever

That you keep that promise

That I will get that one word

Those four letters

And we will be

Together forever
