She Waits

She Waits

A Poem by Briege Havern

She stands alone at midnight,

 High up in the tower.

 She watches over the sea,

 For her sweethearts return.

 Many months she has waited,

 To see him once again.

 To hear his voice,

 To breath in his scent.

 Many suns have set,

 Many moons have rose,

 And the seasons everchanging,

 As she waits for him.
