Glimpse Memories

Glimpse Memories

A Poem by Bridget McJane

an antique lighter, a magnifying glass, stamps and a postcard from dad
i know every thing in that drawer in the kitchen
its the same drawer you left me candy in every time i lost a tooth
i leave it open and dad always closes it
sometimes i think i see a candy wrapper inside
an antique lighter, a magnifying glass, stamps and a postcard from dad
