Snow White

Snow White

A Poem by Bridget McJane

      Blood red her lips

Snowy white her face

Rosie pink her cheeks glow

Coal black her hair

Blue glass her eyes

Yellow finch flies across the sky

The orange sun beats for the light

Emerald Green grass she lays upon

Purple flowers bloom

A perfect scenery for a princess in a sleep.

I'm a fan of all the imagery in this piece, beautiful pictures. Sweet and simple, as well

All the colors well represented; short but lovely piece.

First visit to your work Bridget. A combination of Snow White, that wonderful cartoon character in Disney and the natural world, all in one short piece. I enjoyed your poem because the imagery was sharp and because it reminded me of my childhood. There is something about the way you write which strikes a chord. A familiarity even, and that was pleasing.
