Hope and ChangeA Poem by Bridger HallA song of hope, change, and the one in the way.I took a quick drive outside the city to change my mind I saw your face in all the trees, and i lost sight of the city lights Why am i still here? I´ve got all the answers in my mind but i´m not brave enough to touch them
You were a lot like hope running into my veins the kind of feeling that could kill if it all goes away and like a hurricane you destroy quickly you never cared about anything but yourself
You were the ending to my story and the words that i screamed that night i never give up easy but i´ve finally reached that point i´m not asking you to save me i´m better off by my self i´ve got a million reasons to change but you´re not one
i lost track of time and i went back to the place and the face i knew when i was younger i was simpler back then, and smarter back then now i´m a two day flight from my home town but i´ll make it to make this change without your constant reminding of my lack of pride or my stupid dreams
You were the ending to my story and the words that i screamed that night i never give up easy but i´ve finally reached that point i´m not asking you to save me i´m better off by my self i´ve got a million reasons to change but you´re not one © 2012 Bridger HallAuthor's Note
