Dreamers-- a Dying Breed?

Dreamers-- a Dying Breed?

A Story by Brid

Are Dreamers a minority? Sometimes I wonder, in this modern day, if people have forgotten how to day-dream or if they are simply better at hiding it.
You can tell a dreamer by the way she walks.  She'll cut across patches of grass, just to imagine the texture under her boots.
You can tell a dreamer by the things she carries.  A scrap of plastic, forgotten by the trash cans, or a windfall branch that drags across the road.
Her mind is always on something else.  For the dreamer to survive, she must compare her life to fantasy at all times.  This is her source of nutrients, and without it, she would surely perish.
