Sooky

Sooky

A Poem by Brid

Dreams like a
willful and headstrong child of
hoof-flight, through the
dusty passages of her
past, into
wide open spaces

Never go back again, for
what is lost is gone, and once it is
gone it is only a memory, but as
always, when she sleeps, she
dreams with no saddle

Author's Note

Brid
i decided to start all lines with nouns to make it sound stilted, but does it disrupt the flow too much instead?
