An Angel Drowned in Tears

An Angel Drowned in Tears

A Poem by The Ponderings of Bella
"

To my sister--- Cali I know you feel like there is no hope and that your heart will never mend but I assure you there is a man out there for you with an ivory key waiting to set you free!

"

Butterfly dreams are ever thine,
That flutter about to and fro.
Softly drifting towards the sky
To tell a story that they know.

A fairy tale of a fair angelic lass
Who so hard tried to keep her wings.
She had a large and fragile heart of glass
They said it breaks at simple things.

They keep her hidden in her prison
Her walls must never come crashing down.
To open her cage is quite forbidden
For she'd surely cry and then she'd drown.

They don't question what she cries about
Her heart's too sensitive to touch.
Their words, they lock her in ever pout
They fear the world would be too much.

But I decided to break all the rules
As I freed her with my ivory key.
She did not die, her tears like jewels
An angel by my love set free.

While I still live, I beg, do not drown
Persevere, my angel, my love, my dear!
My soul, in heaven, shall soon be around
Once my current path's end is at a near.

Gorgeous writing and so sympathetically written .. superb .....and I hope your sister is OK ...tell her the world will balance out for her at the appropriate time .. and then because of the ills she will enjoy the pleasure even more ....
