HomelessA Poem by The Ponderings of BellaWhat happens when I am running on little to no sleep and everything seems entertainingAn un-scratchable itch A crick in my neck A nervous twitch of my finger Tick Tick Tick Lines blurring into dots Letters dancing across the page Numbers like acrobats Tick Tick Tick The murmur of a crowd The cry of a child The howl of the wind Tick Tick Tick Grinding of teeth on a winter night Clink of money in a tin cup The swish of wind through thin clothes Tick Tick Tick Life moving a million miles per hour Hands falling across a white face Death looming like a vulture on my shoulder Tick Tick Tick Top of the morning to you A vex of the human nature Keep walking forward not looking back Tick Tick Tick A bomb about to explode A parasite sucking my blood Its all in my head or is it yours Tick Tick Tick The moment I take my last breath The metronome to my symphony I don't know where I am Tick Tick Tick I lost count hours ago Then again what is an hour Today or yester-marrow Tick Tick Tick Time or whatever it is Has come to an end Now all I hear is the wind Tick Tick .............. Tick
