I wrote this for a guy I was in love with. He recently sent me a text letting me know he's no longer interested. This broke my heart but I still liked the writing. Definitely not my best work though.

Liam, you’re the only one

I've thought about since we’ve become

A couple and my heart holds true

My promises I’ve made to you.

Realize that love is blind

In my eyes, in my mind

Like none other, you’re flawless to me

Eternally, you’re the one I see

Your smile is a shining star

Shining for me from afar

To lose you is my only fear

Eternally I want you here

Without you I wouldn’t be the same

All the heartbreak, all the pain

Right now all I think about

True love, without a doubt.

Sometimes I want you to be

Here lying next to me

In my heart, in my dreams

Soul mates we’ll forever be.

Sound asleep, my dream comes true
