Not That Day

Not That Day

A Poem by Brianna Ray
"

For English we had to write about one of the loudest emotional noises we have ever heard.

"
Mother's are suppose to be strong,
but not that day,
no not at all.
The day the phone rang,
The day she answered cheerfully,
the day she hung up crying.
I ask her what's wrong,
but she only replied with tears.
I gave her a loving hug,
her sobs filling my ears.
She pulls from me for a moment,
"Your great-grandmother just died."
We hug again,
our tears coming together as one.
Mother's are suppose to be strong,
but not that day,
no not at all.

I like the flow...it has a lot of emotions in it. People may seem to be strong but there is usually always something that will cause them to break down, it's good she had someone to help comfort her.

Good Job
