Do You Remember

Do You Remember

A Poem by Brian K. Walters
"

These are the lyrics to the frist song I ever wrote :) I won't tell you how long ago =P I wrote this song for a couple I knew when I was just a kid. They were divorced but remained as friends. I could always see the love and respect still in their eyes.

"

Do You Remember?

Remembering our times together
When we used to laugh and cry
Now times have changed, years have passed
Since tears were shed and we said goodbye.

I still remember when we were together
Running hand in hand through life
Do you remember when we had each other
and our dreams of love with you as my wife?

Every now and then I’ll call you on the phone
To say “hello, How are things?”
You’ll say alright shed a tear inside
Always knowing what could have been.

As you remember when we had each other
And we were chasing dreams through the moonlit sky
But now those times are gone from us forever
But we both know, our love will never die.

As hard as it is to believe that true love actually exist, I do believe that if the love is strong enough, real enough- it would survive ANYTHING- including divorce. Beautiful- but sad nonetheless.
