I grow

I grow

A Poem by Brian Pomphrey

Yester-year i leaped away
To comb the hairs of professionals
Expectations.
Low and whimper to myself
Older life makes time fade.

Anger at the pitty i gave my weakness
When independence was my strength.
I found myself later amongst more strain
And chose my digging away the mess.

I flew through tragedy
And break.
I flew over white bed visits and fake,
Insecure people i hum their melody.

I grow now.
Tough through concrete minds and mental barriers.
Im not done
But i grow still
To slow my mind
Setting vow.

When the going gets tough, we are toughened by growing... and later on after, glow in our understanding and expression of that growth. A truly enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing.
