Love, the Double-Edged SwordA Poem by BrianLove
Scarred by Love's swift and silent sword
The surface appears healed, but the heart bleeds The wound must be sealed by a new Love's word Healing love, the bloody muscle now needs Let me give you a new dawn, be my love The afternoon heat will not scorch your skin Twilight will be replaced by light above Your blessed heart now beats stronger within This is our endless love, our sweet romance Your patched heart, I will never betray Of separation, darling, there's no chance Let's kindle this tender passion today Now open your sad, suffering heart wide And let me heal what is broken inside © 2014 BrianLoveAuthor's Note
