-WHERE DREAMS TAKE PLACE

-WHERE DREAMS TAKE PLACE

A Chapter by Brian Kraklau

alone,

one tiny shadow in the distance,

one black splotch on a grey canvas,

the ship sits upon still waters,

out in open seemingly landless terrain,

full of a still wonder,

perhaps the workers take a break from their long tasks on these occasions,

perhaps praying to some faded saint to clear this fog,

within their minds

gasping for air within this mist,

as even the smallest sounds carry short from home,

calling out to the sailor to return home soon,

to the loving warmth of what was left behind,

as the blindness rises,

the sun speaks up in the silence

everything refreshed,

as if to have merely been asleep,

awaiting this actor's exit,

to bring on a more brighter tune,

revealing what has been obscure,

making on this day,

there was only a pebble in the sand,

to make way for the wake of frolicking of lovers,

as they leap forward,

towards the distant shores ahead.
