-OH, QUEEN

-OH, QUEEN

A Chapter by Brian Kraklau

dancing on your toes,

the wind between her knees,

crawling up the ice-caps,

silent eyes blazing in the night air,

leaning in closer...

will you open your gates, oh queen?

when your bridge has been lowered,

will you let me in?

like feathers flying off into the clouds,

I will spread my wings,

fly

over these walls,

to the other side,

through the gate,

to the other side,

the garden is only for those that be ready for such ease,

why,

if one was to fling the gates of hell open

these roses would be too young

such leaves can't run off to the hills,

we can't accept so many grasping hands,

for the word of love be the lock and chains,

this truth if be sought into more would be founded

to the key of the kingdom,

you have seen this, yes?

when eyes of the greenest sea cast their gaze

down onto a peasant such as me,

such a lowly person as I

how could I prove anything

if this world makes me stumble

crying out to every stubbed toe,

how could I right myself of all the wrongs,

when this grave I lay in is filled to the brim

flies of lies gnawing at my bones,

oh queen have pity unto me.
