TIME TO GROW UP

TIME TO GROW UP

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

as i stretch my fingers in this moment, too hooked for my brain to not reach out to make sure this ghost be real, oh what a time it is to be caught up in this split second, sitting, pondering, moving, doubting, when the smoke rises and the fog lifts its head in return, will this world be clear to view that split moment in life, where the whole world silences its screams, to come all at once to realize we are now old enough to see, the days of caves have long gone from physical thought, life is upon the doorstep of a new age, people are on the brink of realization, oh how i am shocked at this moment, to know that finally, we are going to drop the clubs, wash our dirty faces, and accept that our world will never be created in our image, but the image to teach us what is more important than beliefs, more than life itself, to this i carress you oh beauty of my minds eye, for this moment is ours, a kiss on the lips, and a refreshing drink to the awakening of man.

This is probably one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. Breathtaking... I don't even know what to say. I love every single thing about this poem.

Quite dreamy - the refreshing drink is something of a holy grail to each boy on the verge of awakening!

Interesting write, unfortunatley in this world there are those who never grow and will never learn to accept that some changes are a good thing.
