WHAT IS THIS LOVE?

WHAT IS THIS LOVE?

A Chapter by Brian Kraklau

A daze in the clouds like a thousand dreams

A walk into the moon like a million strides through love

Love?

What is that word so familiar with my heart?

So many times have I miss interpreted the meaning

Love?

What is it in its truest form?

So many times have I mistaken it for sexual interest or pleasure?

So many times have I foresaw my own future as a sad and lonely one

So many times I’ve went from one girl to the next with a fake feeling of love

So many times my heart has been broken

So what is love?

A fountain of sexual interventions

Or a sincere feeling of infinite youth?

But, finally, I have found out what it is

This ‘love’ word

This feeling is not just a sensational feeling of sex

Nor is it the infinite touch of youth

It is all life itself wrapped in one shinny ball

Or is it a box, I’m not too sure

But, love is the feeling of being wanted by someone

A feeling of wholeness and complete trueness.

Like a wave of clouds upon a warm moonlit night

Like the very rain on a spring morning with the warm sun just over the horizon

A whisper of sweetness in the night before falling asleep

Holding the one in a strong embrace as if to merge the two strongly beating hearts to one.

So, what is love?
