SO MUCH BLOOD!

SO MUCH BLOOD!

A Chapter by Brian Kraklau

Soft skin that curves with such delicacy

The blade, so cold and shiny with all the gleam of lifelessness

Hold your head back, now and let me help you wipe those tears away

Red tears that flow down into your blouse from your delicate skin

Another body falls to the floor

Down it goes again down into the depths of mindless death

No sensitivity flows any longer within these fingers

No love flows no longer through this heart

No soul anymore within this decrepit, death machine of a body.

The wife of a life time has been taken away

So now, so alone, so much blood

Blood, the blade, and death lusts for more

She was so beautiful

So delicate with her blond hair

Her hair of golden angel’s shine

Only her memory remains

A time when time was young,

When she danced in such a white dress

As if in a dream of such happiness

But when eyes are opened only the dreary world around exists

Maybe in time, time itself will end it all

Maybe blood will flow on its own

Ending it all once and for all

Opening up the gates on the other side of life

And there she will be, dancing in joy

No more blackness

No more blood.

The description is beautifully dark. Very dark. But the best kind of dark there is. And I like the little optimistic twist at the end.
