FAR AWAY

FAR AWAY

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

listen to the words set upon the rose petals
the trail of whispering winds run dry on high leaves
orions belt looms over the car
one more round one more dream
one way out
through the skin
far into what i dream to be
could our soul be a part of a greater universe
towards the true nature of what is to be acknowledge
the giant doors of broken dreams open one last time
they are comming upon us
open your eyes to the world
the rain is falling upon your brow
you are free
free like the trees
free to choose the way to live
free to know the truth
do you know what i mean
do you know thr words
when youre gone through the door
to meet him on the otherside
besides the river
the weaping clouds float on white sails
sweeping in from long ago
drink the water
drink from the long river
for when you swim from shore
the seas of time will comsume
will you come
with me
through you
through the door
to the otherside
far away

This poem shows some promise...
I like the idea of words written on rose petals, the giant door of broken dreams and the invitation at the end of the poem. It could do with some polishing and stream-lining - but you have a great idea to work with.

great write, flowed very well. I liked how there was some detail but not too much. This poems opens one mind to the other possiblities of this world

The progression of the tale from the images to the feelings is nicely done. It has a very good philosophical dream like feel to it. I love the opening line, that's a really nice image. The way it fades into the ending is smooth giving it a good conclusion.

the imagery in this poem is spectacular. It is has a feel of in this world but beyond. the tale being told is amazing and the last four lines sum up this whole piece rather well. It feels like lyrics to me and the flow is easy to follow along with.
