a poem for you

a poem for you

A Poem by Brian Kraklau
"

i was thinking, back when i started writing, i wrote traditionally, many people see by now i am not a traditional writer, i write now with deeper meanings than just punctuation, letters, words, format

"

*cont. intro* but for those honest readers who even though they try or tryed, i write this one in loving memory of my past...

Whose footprints are those in the snow?

Leading the way on forward

As if they knew

But how

As I look closely

Slowly raising my face off to the distance

I see now

Those footprints in the snow

Are only where I have come and gone

And so, I shall keep walking

Longer journeys make time for weary feet

So I will always repeat these steps

Back through where I have already come and gone

Back through memory

Back home

Time

And time again

Then once the wind comes I will know

When I must pack my bags

Spread my wings

And go.
