A BLANK PAGE

A BLANK PAGE

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

On one page there's a story to be told

On the other

Blank

Trapped in that one single wait of all time

A wait for someone to write a story

Any thing

One to bloom into a bursting flower

Burst into a bright light with a bang

Perhaps, one day, this blank page will be filled

Perhaps one day a story will be written

Written on the living and the dead

Written on events of darkness done for false truths

This blank page lusts to be the one chosen

Over that other page next door resting with such glorious words

Perhaps a picture of deep meaning

Perhaps the lyrics of a doomed artist

An artist starving

An artist that will only be fed after death

Maybe this page will forever be blank

So, I'd say that this little page of white says more

More than any written novel

More than any love filled poem

More than any deep picture of heavenly talented art

This blank page will say its story for the rest of time.

I really like this. It seems a sadness that there's so many stories/poems that go unwritten.
