THESE LOVE WORDS

THESE LOVE WORDS

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

THESE LOVE WORDS
It seems that I have slipped through the glass.
These pills have fried my nerves,
And the late night drinks are making me crash
I want to forget all these love words.
Were you ever really happy seeing my face.
I never really wanted this to hurt,
And now your eyes hold so much tired hate.
I want to forget all these love words.
I guess you never saw a man from the start.
Even if I already fly with the birds,
You saw me down here lower than the dirt.
I want to forget all these love words.
I drink too much from time to time
So useless in every way
I scream too much while you whine
So pointless to even try
So why not just say f**k the world
Lets totally break away
And forget every word
I find myself looking back at your photos.
Our distance is in light years,
And yet why I still smile no one knows.
I need to forget all these love words

I like the regret mixed with the longing for a love gone wrong, trying to figure out why, but knowing where. Placing blame, taking blame, is love ever easy? Your MC says no, f**k it. Have another drink, having enjoyed the ride. This is great. Liked it muchly, thanks for sharing.
