STAR-STRUCK

STAR-STRUCK

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

STAR-STRUCK

Oh Muse
I'm on my knees
Won't you come please
And walk
Side by side
Hand in hand
Through the bullshit
Down to The Valley Land
And sleep on silver sand

My love-struck friend
Mind twisted
Arms stretched

Hands blistered
Thoughts over fetched
Hair fire wire
Fair parched march

Air filled with mustard
As the gun sounds her arch
Does this have to end

Oh Babe
I'm on my knees
Won't you come please
And talk
Side by side
Hand in hand
Through this over ran program
Down in the valley land
To sleep on silver sand

My love-struck friend
Mind twisted
Arms stretched

Hands blistered
Thoughts over fetched
Hair fire wire
Fair parched march

Air filled with mustard
As the gun sounds her arch
Does this have to end

Oh Dream
Inside this mind-fill
Won't you come too
And sing
Side by side
Hand in hand
Sending us drifting
Down to The Valley Land
In star-struck silver sand
