Hammer Down

Hammer Down

A Poem by Brian Kraklau

Hammer Down

The hammer came down in quiet sanction
So get ready for their armored expansion
Leaving us knowing a fraction
Painted with acrylic resin

I sometimes try to forget the compression
Looming down for its possession
Taking more than just loving affection
When no riot could break this bomb session

Oh, you want to try and question
Don't forget that brainwashed obsession
Eager to stand up in her screaming aggregation
Leaving me breathless to facial expansion

Run away before they beckon
In time it won't matter what direction
When did hell become an exception
I guess this is all our own objective lesson

As a silently drowning nation
These lives struggle while their claws lengthen
Forgoing the chance to openly enlighten
As he snapped into the cafe's attention
