Jealousy

Jealousy

A Poem by Bria Si'mone
"

Just love and hate at the same time

"

You can be hurtful as you want to be. Cuz you'll never be as blessed as me. You can bruise my feelings verbally, but you'll never be as blessed as me.
It angers you that I go through life with a smile. If only you would try things my way once in a while. You built a pedestal 20 feet tall. Because compared to my blessings you felt small. You never saw my struggle, so you don't know it exists. So you ball your words up into fists. You knock me down to see what I'll do. But the truth is, I could never be as low as you.
Now don't get me wrong, I care deeply for you. But care is obviously not what you want me to do. So how does one break down a wall? When the hammer is no help at all. Maybe I'm looking at things wrong and what I'm saying isn't true. But I know for sure that I never want to be as cruel as you. So now I'll leave you to go in peace and let you be. But despite my lack of momentum in your eyes, you could still never be as blessed as me.
Not in the sense of riches and style. Because my biggest blessing is my smile. It adorns my face as a reminder to you, that if you wanted, you could be blessed too.

But you can't when you're just being a cynical a*****e...
