Time

Time

A Poem by Bri

“Time”

As days turn into months

And months turn into years

Memories fade

And time keeps on passing

As eyes lose their sparkle

And innocence is gone

Bags are packed

While friend say so long

And time keeps on passing

Every now and then

We visit and reminisce

About how much better it was

When we’d meet every day like this

And time keeps on passing

And we realize how things have changed

How different we all are

How nothing is the same

And time keeps on passing

We reenact memories

Of the good old days

Of how happy we were

When every day we’d play

And time keeps on passing

We forget even more

As visits become few and far between

Wondering how it happened

How we are losing touch it seems

And time keeps on passing

Fearing that pretty soon

The memories will become elusive

When we can no longer remember

How good we had it

And time keeps on passing
