Simple Pleasures

Simple Pleasures

A Poem by William M
"

A poem about slowing down and enjoying life. It can't get any simpler than that.

"
It's drinking coffee in the early morning watching the orange sun set the sky ablaze.
It's watching the ocean move in its mysterious and majestic ways.
We lead a fast paced life, so why not engage in some simple pleasures?
Take some time out for yourself at your own leisure.

The pace at which we move is concerning.
We do what we're told however we're never learning.
Are we content to let life pass us by?
Never stopping until the day we die.

Sit down in your favorite rocking chair.
It doesn't matter if it's by the river, road, anywhere!
Go take a nice and refreshing walk.
Sit next to the girl you love and just talk.

These simple pleasures are the root to our sanity.
Don't let this life drive you into insanity.
Engaging in these pleasures is a rarity.
So have some time to yourself for some much needed clarity.

I can relate to this one a lot, it really makes one want to just enjoy the truly simple things this life has to offer, to get away from all the hectic, rushed moments in the usual daily life. Thank you for sharing such a relaxing piece. :)
