Rise

Rise

A Poem by Brett Pritchard
"

You couldn't get up today. Your muscles ached and the world didn't feel worth it. Then the feeling came.....

"

The crack between the curtains illuminates like phosphorescence

The untrained promise of a new day

Perhaps good

Perhaps bad

The silver lining of the distant cloud

The light behind the darkness stirring us gently into smiling life

The day commences

Time to live

 To savor

Walking out to bask in joy of untold wonders and the beloved mundane

A day to travel and a day to learn

A day to build

A day to apologize

A day on earth

Another day

Now breath deeply
