FactA Poem by Brett PritchardA tribute to the best and wisest man I've ever known.
He seemed Immortal He seemed impossible and everlasting Towering above me like some mighty monolith A paragon of all to which I should aspire Teaching me what it is to care and understand So strong and sure So permanent and invulnerable A fact in the universe Irreplaceable and immoveable He wasn’t immortal He was all too fallible and finite Towering above me like a shrine of my misery A loss from which I can never truly recover Struck down so easily and vanishing from my world overnight So fleeting and cruel in hindsight So shattering and painful A fact in the universe Irreplaceable and unforgettable © 2013 Brett PritchardReviews
